This is where I tell you about my life. I was born
October 8, 1987 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. When I was 6 months
old, I came to the United States. I lived in Los Angeles, California
where we owned a shoe store. There I had a lot of fun. I would go to
Disney Land like every day. Also, the only family that I have in the
United States lives there. Then, one night a massive earthquake woke me
up. Everything went bad from there. I remember waking up and watching
windows explode near me. It was scary for a little 6 year old kid.
I immidiately ran under the door frame because that is the safest
place to be during an earthquake. The next day, when we went to the
shop, it was distroyed. That earthquake ruined us. My parents for some
reason decided to move to Houston. I still have some memories from
L.A. Like when we were in school, instead of fire drills, they do earthquake
drills. I have lived in Houston since like '94. We struggled here at first
but after a few months we go settled. We met people and it made it easier for
us. Then, like 5 years ago, we decided to go to Mexico for a summer vacation.
We were also going to throw a birthday party for my grandma. The day after the
party, we traveled to little town about one hour away from where I'm from. We
were going to visit my cousin who was wrongfully in jail there. We visited him
and on the way back we had a terrible car accident. The suburban in which we were
traveling in flipped over. The accident left 2 persons dead and about 4 others
seriously injured. Within the 2 deaths was my mom. After that it was a big deal with
the authorities for some reasons that I won't discuss. When we came back to Houston
my dad was very depressed. For that reason we struggled a lot for like the next 2 to
3 years. Now we are getting back on our feet. Now adays, every thing has been going really
good. I have a real close relationship with my friends and my family. My brother had
a little girl a few months ago. My little brother is now in Kindergarden. I moved on to
the 11th grade. I am really happy. I just recently got a girl friend. I am playing soccer
with 2 teams. Hopefully, in about 2 years, I will be playing soccer in Mexico on the
